The Vietnam War was the longest and most unpopular, un-official, war in which Americans ever fought. It lasted nearly 10 years, from approximately 16-17; no one knows the exact date of when it started. The Vietnam was fought by American soldiers on Vietnam grounds against Communism and its spread. Vietnam has split into two parts, South Vietnam and North Vietnam, creating internal war. That's when the U.S. decided to get involved and send in their troops. Many historians believe that America lost the war because of the Viet-Cons love and inspiration that they had to beat the U.S. troops. Instead the U.S. Army was fighting a war against itself. It corrupted itself with lies and deceit, it drowned its fears with drugs and it murdered its own in cold blood, resulting in the loss of the war.

It all started on August 4, 164, through the Gulf of Tonkin Incident. Allegedly North Vietnamese battle ships were attaching the U.S. warships in the Gulf. Later on it was discovered that Lyndon B. Johnson lied about the incident to the public in order to gain congressional approval for escalating the war, and in order to leave the U.S. troops in Vietnam. Many argue that he did this for the sense of pride. He didn't want to be the first U.S. President that lost a war. The reason however does not matter. "Later investigations revealed that the alleged second attack that led Johnson to submit his Tonkin Gulf resolution to congress never happened" (pg 17). This is when the lies within the government appeared creating a catalyst for the killing themselves. Lyndon B. Johnson lied to America losing the support of the public, followed by the support of the soldiers in the battle field. Soon enough chants like "Hey, Hey L.B.J. how many kids did you kill today?" (pg. 1) began springing up between the anti-war rallies as well as from overseas from the soldiers. The more Lyndon lost the support of his public, the more he lost the support of his soldiers creating chaos.

The soldiers started to feel regret and remorse for being in Vietnam, and most searched for ways to drown their sorrows. They would sit in the middle of their bases, fields and jungles as their bloodshot eyes starred at the blue sky, sweat pouring from every pore in their bodies. In studies it was revealed that 0% more soldiers experimented with drugs during Vietnam than at any other time in the military history. Weed, pot, or marijuana was the most common among the troops, but harder drugs were also available for only a couple of dollars for each fix. In one study the drug problems really started in 16. Around 8,000 troops were arrested for drug possession. In 170 11,058 drug cases were admitted out of which 1,146 included hard drugs. These drugs were; ecstasy, heroin cocaine, and well as all types of LSD's (A crystalline compound, C0H5NO, derived from lysergic acid and used as a powerful hallucinogenic drug). Within one year the numbers of hard drug cases grew up to 7,06. This meant that the depression was getting stronger. Drugs clouded the soldier's judgments pushing them to commit unlawful acts.Write my Essay on vietnam war for me

Fragging was a term used for an American who killed another American, usually a superior. The name "fragging" was acquired from a fragmation grenade that was used in the murder. Although most of the time the grenade was not used, it was during the first few times, getting its name. "During the years of 16 down to 17 we have a rise of fragging-that is, shooting or hand-granading your NCO (noncommissioned officer) or your officer who orders you out into the field", says a historian Terry Anderson of Texas A&M University. "The U.S. Army doesn't know exactly how many…officers were murdered. But they know at least 600 murdered, and they have another 1,400 that died mysteriously." These young men were placed in an alien environment, losing their hope more and more everyday they did anything to try and survive. They killed their commanding officers before battle to avoid it, and put out rewards for officers who just came out of blood thirsty battles, for revenge. "In the underground GI publication "GI" says 'a reward of 10,000 is offered for killing lieutenant colonel Welcon Honeycutt', shortly after the costly attack at Hamburgar Hill in 16" an army journalist published in 171.
