I understand that because she is Hispanic, it is automatically assumed that her family is poverty-stricken. What about me? My family certainly didn't have a lot of money, especially to send me to college. I just didn't understand.

Now, my understandings are much clearer. I have come to believe that because of the extensive racism in the past, it should somehow be made up for now.
